In 3 months you will master the full cycle of 3D model creation: from blank in 3Ds Max to sculpting in Zbrush with the process of retopology and preparation of the model for texturing. The course includes lessons for working in five different programs. The course is aimed at mastering the basic principles and techniques of 3D modeling, applicable in the game industry.

COURSE STRUCTURE
Every week you get video-lectures + streams + homework + additional materials for studying. Once a week there is an online meeting with a tutor for reviewing homework. At each meeting you get detailed comments and corrections to your work.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
The 3D modeling course is designed for basic level of training: you can start training from scratch, even if you’ve never opened a 3D program. It is suitable for anyone who wants to master the full cycle of 3D model creation.

Notebook, graphic tablet and mouse

Windows operating system (since 3Ds Max is not available on Mac OS)
Software: 3Ds Max 2017, ZBrush 2019-2022, Marvelous Designer 8, Marmoset Toolbag 4, KeyShot, Photoshop

THE PROGRAM INCLUDES:

OBJECT CREATION:

  • Basics of constructing the basic shape of an object in 3Ds Max.
  • Fundamentals of sculpting in Zbrush.
  • Creating a HighPoly model.
  • Features of applying textures and giving materiality to the object in Zbrush.

MODELING A PORTRAIT OF A CHARACTER:

Sculpting a character’s head / head anatomy.
Marvelous Designer basics for creating basic folds.

  • Creating a LowPoly model.
  • Retopology basics in 3Ds Max.
  • Preparing the model for the stitching.

Baking the basic maps needed for texturing in the Marmoset toolbag.
